Missions Policy of First Christian Church of Clemmons
In obedience to the command of Jesus, the missionaries and mission agencies supported by First Christian Church must be committed to The Great Commission to “go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:18-20). Not only must they (individuals or agencies and personnel) be committed to the Truth as revealed in Scripture, their “manner of life must be worthy of the Gospel of Christ” (Phil. 1:27), as confirmed by recommendations from Christians who know them personally.
The various methods used by the individuals/agencies supported by the Church must be directed towards the fulfillment of The Great Commission.
As a congregation, we, in turn, commit ourselves to encourage the missions we choose to support by our giving, prayers, and personal contact, that God will be glorified as His “Kingdom comes on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matt. 6:10).
